You have also seen over the past few weeks the rollout of our 2016 roster, with more to come as the season approaches. We think we have assembled a talented group of young men and look forward to their arrival in late May.
The roster takes shape in many ways—referrals from scouts and coaches, some players contact us directly, and some holdovers from last year's team. We pay special attention to local players who have the talent to play at this level of baseball.
Each year's roster is a different mix. The 2016 roster has more players from around the country than ever which means we need to house more players than ever. We are currently in need of space for 10 players. We have an outstanding group of host families but are in need of more places for our players to live.
We are currently looking for new host families to help us out. We are also expanding our search to any rooms or apartments we could rent from June through a mid-August time frame. Placing these young men in a good environment is the most important thing we do. We owe this to them and their family.
